Mr. Albert E. Cutting of Wakefield died Sunday July 18, 2004 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born August 11, 1928 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Son of the late Herbert H. Cutting and Isabella (Fleming) Cutting. He was a resident of Wakefield for 40 years. Mr. Cutting was a graduate of Watertown High School and then went onto Northeastern University School of Engineering where he was elected to Tau Beta Pi, (National Engineering Honor Society), he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1953. He then continued evenings at Northeastern to complete his Masters of Business Administration Degree which he received in 1962. He then graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1968 with a Masters degree in Natural Sciences. Mr. Cutting was a Physics Teacher at the Melrose High School for 34 years until his retirement in 1996. He previously worked for ESSO Standard Oil (Exxon) as a Chemical Engineer- Oil Refiner for 9 years. Mr. Cutting served as chairman of the Melrose High School Scholarship Committee and Chairman of the Science Department at the High School.
He was the husband of Eileen A. (Ames) Cutting. Father of A. Edward Cutting of Amherst, Carol E. Cutting of Bangor, ME, David A. Cutting of Brewster and Brian S. Cutting of Basel, Switzerland. Grandfather of Jack Albert Cutting.
Funeral Service at the Greenwood Union Church (corner of Oak & Main Street) Wakefield, Wednesday July 21 2004 at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
