Albert E. Harding

Mr. Albert E. Harding, a longtime Malden resident and Melrose insurance agent, died on Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2010 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.He was 86 years old.Mr. Harding was born on October 18, 1923 in Medford, a son of the late Charles I. Harding and Edna M. (McGrath) Harding.

Albert or "Al" as he was lovingly known was raised and educated in Malden.He graduated from Malden High School and Northeastern University.A private 1st class in the US Army, he proudly served his country from 1943 to 1945 during WWII.For many years, Al owned and operated the Harding Insurance Agency in Melrose.He was a former member of the Mount Vernon Lodge AF&AM in Malden.Al loved fishing, swimming and working at the insurance agency.Above all else, Al will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man.Al was the beloved husband of Marjorie S. (Mersereau) Harding.Loving father of the late Robert B. Harding and Diane E. Harding.Dear brother of Edna K. Harding of Malden.Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Friday, January 15 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.Interment with military honors presented by the US Army in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
