Alice-Jean (Savage) Beote

Alice-Jean (Savage) Beote, long time Stoneham resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.She was 69.

Born on October 9, 1950 in Everett, Alice-Jean is one of three children of the late Walter and Marie (Tobin) Savage. She attended Girls Catholic High School in Malden and graduated in 1968.In her youth, she enjoyed spending time at Sebago Lake in Maine with her parents and brothers.

Alice-Jean enjoyed going out with her friends and met George Beote at a local nightclub. While Alice-Jean worked hard to keep from going out with George, she finally agreed, and they spent the rest of their lives together.Going on that date was definitely a good decision.

After living a short time in Everett, the Beote's moved to Stoneham to raise their family.

Family was everything to Alice-Jean.Living with Cerebral Palsy, she was told she would never have children. She defied the odds and had two loving children and continued to inspire with her ability to live life on her terms. She never complained and was appreciative of all the blessings she had.It taught her family to appreciate the little things in life.

She was exceptionally active in the lives of her family. While she was not the cook of the house, she had made a deal with her beloved George, that if he did the cooking, she would do the cleaning, and that is exactly what they did.She enjoyed going on cruises with George, camping with her family at Apache Campground in Sanford Maine on weekends, and going to the casino with George.

Despite having Cerebral Palsy, Alice-Jean had a beautiful family, strong marriage, strong faith, and still enjoyed life. Her sense of humor and faith helped carry her through the harder days.

While it's hard to say goodbye to those we love, we know Alice-Jean dearly missed George after his passing in February, and knowing they are together again provides comfort and peace to her beloved family and friends.

Alice-Jean is the beloved wife of George A. Beote with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Jason M. Beote and his wife Sarah of Pelham, NH, and Lauren E. Beote and her companion David Smith of Stoneham. Loving sister of Michael Savage and his wife Elaine, and Peter Savage and his wife Jane, both of Melrose.Cherished grandmother of Alexandra Beote, and proud aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
