Alma R. Parkhurst
Alma was born on September 6, 1922 in Malden, a daughter of the late Harry P. Parkhurst and Esther A. (Whittridge) Parkhurst. She was raised in Acton and graduated from Acton High School. From 1940 until 1980, Alma worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a management analyst for the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC).She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Melrose for over 50 years.
She was the sister of the late Roland Parkhurst and Esther O'Rourke.Loving aunt of Perrin Parkhurst of Michigan, Penney Pocock of Texas, and Robert O'Rourke of Texas.Dear cousin of Eva Macomber of New Hampshire, Sylvia Lyman of Connecticut, Charles Hill of Florida, Walter Sprague of Acton, and David Russell of New Hampshire.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, January 29 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Intermentwill be in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
