Antoinette "Ann" Manganelli, a 37-year resident of Waltham, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital after a period of declining health.She was 89 years old.
Antoinette, or "Ann" as she was affectionately known, was born on April 3, 1921 in East Boston, a daughter of the late Frank Manganelli and Rose (Coviello) Manganelli.
She was raised and educated in East Boston where she attended grammar school at Assumption School and graduated from Fitton High School.For 40 years, she worked for Polaroid Corp. as a technical specialist, retiring in 1982.Ann loved bingo and travelling.She visited England, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Greece, and Alaska throughout her life.
Ann was the loving sister of Vincent F. Manganelli and his wife Patricia of Stoneham, and the late Madeline Puccio, Dr. Charles V. Manganelli, and Mary C. Reidy.She was the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, May 7 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in honor and remembrance of Ann's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 9 AM.
