Mr. Giunta was born February 5, 1925 in Wakefield, MA, son of the late Santo Giunta and Elvira (Secci) Giunta.
Mr. Giunta was a graduate of Wakefield High School.He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University in 1949 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.While at Tufts, he was a member of Tau Beta Pi. He served in the United States Army during WWII and also served in the US Navy Reserve during the Korean Conflict.He worked for many years as a chemical engineer for General Tire Company and then for Hartz Plastic in Acton.
Armandwas the beloved husband of 57 years to Rose (Calvo) Giunta.Devoted father of David A. Giunta and his wife, Sharon of East Wakefield, NH and Kenneth J. Giunta and his wife, Tara of Gaithersburg, MD.Dear brother of Emma DiMauro of Wakefield, Rita Collea of Cranston, RI, Yolanda Mixie of Westerly, RI and the late Rev. Joseph Giunta and Ada Troupe.Cherished grandfather of Kristin Murphy and her husband, Michael of Merrimac, Jamie Giunta of Lake Tahoe, CA, Elizabeth Lufkin and her husband Jesse of Daytona, FL and Mackenzie R. Giunta, A. Riley Giunta and Sydney Giunta, all of Gaithersburg, MD.Cherished great grandfather of Michael J. Murphy of Merrimac.
