Barbara Stanton
Barbara was born in Stoneham, on October 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Esther A. and Manoog Torian.
She was the wife of the late Elmer N. Stanton with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. She is survived by her five devoted daughters, Sherryl Sants of Walpole, Darlene Houde and her husband Ronald of Hampstead, NH, Paula Stanton and her spouse Kim Smith of Norwood, Donna Stanton and her spouse Karen Berube of Walpole, and Jamie Laudanno and her husband Joseph Sr. of Saugus. She was the dear sister of the late Richard W. Torian and his surviving wife Mary of Milford.
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren:Andrew and Nicholas Sants, Rebecca and Jonathan Houde and Joseph Laudanno, Jr. and her great grandchildren: Alexis and Brody. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her 7 beloved "granddogs."
She was known to her grandchildren as Grammy, Gammy, Gram and Bobo. And to her great grandchildren as GiGi.
Barbara was best known for her deep devotion and loyalty to her family. Her strength, humility, and sassy humor were truly unmatched. Barbara's generous spirit will continue to live in all who loved her.
Services will be private. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity close to her heart, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
