Beatrice M. Cheever
She was born in Melrose, daughter of David H. and Georgie (Larrabee) Cheever.She was a lifelong resident of Melrose.She graduated from Melrose High School in 1925.She attended the Posse Nissen School of Physical Education, graduating in 1928.She became certified in Physical Therapy at Boston City Hospital in 1929.She worked in Boston for many years until she retired in the 1960s.
"Bee", as she was known to her classmates at Melrose High remembered her this way:Beatrice is known among her many friends as "Bee".This name is particularly adapted to her because she is usually "as busy as a bee."She is the kind of a person who can make friends easily and keep them.She also has another funny characteristic, and that is giving a person a jab in the side when he or she least expects it.Most of her friends have passed on now, but they were right back in 1925 - she kept her friends forever.
Sister of the late Harold Cheever, Eva Morgan and Hazel Canfield.Sister-in-law of Josephine Cheever of Reading.Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Memorial service in the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Tuesday, May 13 at 1PM. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
