Beryl R. Nickerson
Beryl was born on July 21, 1921 in Nova Scotia, Canada, one of four daughters of the late Frederick and Jean (Langille) Nickerson.She married Austin Nickerson on November 20, 1942.During WWII, they came from Nova Scotia and settled in Allston in 1945.She stayed at home to raise her family of five children and Austin worked as a lobsterman.In 1977, they moved to Peabody where they lived for many years.
Beryl enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, and bowling.She was an animal lover and cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of the late Austin P. Nickerson with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Janine B. Anderson and her late husband Wilbert of Medford, Leslie J. Nickerson of Peabody, Gary E. Nickerson and his wife Patricia of Saugus, Donna J. Nickerson and her husband Ted Hamilton of Forestdale, and Karl A. Nickerson of Glastonbury, CT.Dear sister of June Curtis of Osterville, Maxine Shand of Nova Scotia, and the late Winifred Sabean.Cherished grandmother of Edmund Fitzgibbon, Patricia O'Brien, Kevin Fitzgibbon, Lindsay Nickerson, Corey Nickerson, Amelia Hamilton, and John Nickerson.Loving great-grandmother of Patrick, Daniel, Dillon, Michael, Teddy, and Quinn.Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Beryl's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, January 7 from 4-8PM, and again for her Funeral Service celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM.
