Betsey (LeSaffre) Palantoni, 46 of South Salem, NY, formerly of Melrose, died Saturday, January 10, 2004 after a long illness at the Northern Westchester Hospital, Westchester, NY. Betsy was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, 1975 and Skidmore College, 1979.Betsey received her masters degree from Purdue University, 1980.She was a former dancer with the Boston Ballet and taught Ballet at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. Betsey was a former school teacher in Rockville, CT.Betsey was an active parishoner at St. Mary's Church, Katonah, NY where she was a lector and CCD teacher and she will be remembered for being a loving, caring member of the community. Betsey was a former long time marketing representative for the National Health Promotion Services Company, NYC, NY.Betsey was an active participant in the Relay for Life in Wakefield for the American Cancer Society.
Betsey was the beloved wife of Frank Palantoni.Loving mother of Michael, Alex and Mark Palantoni all of South Salem, NY.Beloved daughter of Robert D. LeSaffre and Patricia (Laetsch) LeSaffre of Wakefield.Sister of Stephen LeSaffre and his wife Janet and Suzanne Swain and her husband Bob all of Wakefield and Peter LeSaffre and his wife Rebecca of Melrose.Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Main St., Wakefield, Friday January 16, 2004 at 10 AM.Gifts in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, 25 Fell Street, Wakefield, MA 01880.Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Katonah, NY.
