Blanche L. (Macneill) King

Blanche L. (MacNeill) King, resident of Everett, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at a Melrose healthcare facility. She was 86.

Born on October 29, 1935, in Boston, Blanche was one of five children of the late George L. and Nettie (Mckinnely) MacNeill. She grew up in Malden, graduating from Malden High School.

Blanche was a very proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed time spent with her family, baking, and coming up with new ways to decorate her delicious cakes. For fun she loved playing Bingo, bowling, and the occasional trip to the casino or Vermont for the big Bingo Tournaments. Her favorite form of travel was going on cruises, especially to Hawaii with her daughter and family.

Blanche's spunky nature, great sense of humor, and love of her family and friends will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Blanche was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. King with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Janis L. Galvin and her husband Francis and Robert S. King and his wife Joyce. Loving sister of the late Jenny, Ethel, Pearl, and George. Proud grandmother of Jason, Derek, Craig, Jennifer, Sherry, and Lisa. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in honor of Blanche's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 4-7 p.m., and on Friday for her Funeral Service celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
