Mr. Bemis was superintendent of maintenance for the Melrose Public Schools for 30 years. Husband of Evelyn R. (Swain) Bemis.Father of Robert W. Bemis, Jr. of Medford,
Susan L. Bemis of Everett, David W. Bemis and his wife, Cheryl of Plymouth and Audrey
M. Bailey and her husband Robert of Melrose.Grandfather of Erin and Justin Bemis,
both of Beverly, Katie Dayie and her husband, Thomas, Loralyn Bemis and Joshua Bemis
all of Plymouth and Sarah Bailey of Melrose.
