Dr. C. Michael Mohr of Melrose, died Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Mohr was born October 31, 1932 in South Haven, Michigan. He received his S.B. in Chemical Engineering in 1955 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and went on to receive his S.M. from MIT in 1956 and his Sc.D. in 1961, also from MIT. He was an Assistant Professor for the Department of Chemical engineering at MIT from 1958 - 1967.From 1967 - 1973 he was a Consultant for the Systems Engineering Department at Arthur D. Little, Inc. From 1973 - 1974 he was a visiting professor for the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT and from 1974 to present he was a Senior Lecturer, also for the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT. He was the beloved husband of Martha B. Giberson and the devoted father of Martha W. Mohr of North Adams and the late Christine S. Mohr. Brother of Wm. David Mohr of Benton Harbor, MI. Son of the late Lloyd Charles Mohr and Mabel (Wegner) Mohr. Stepson of the late Louisa Durham. Also survived by 2 nephews and 1 niece. Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Sunday 2-6 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the MIT Chapel, 48 Mass. Ave., W-15, Cambridge Tuesday, June 21 at 2PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
