Carmela "Millie" (Bonanno) Wilkes Russo, 89 of Reading, formerly of Braintree and Medford, died Wednesday morning, May 25, 2005 at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading. Millie was born April 10, 1916 in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Joseph Bonanno and Felicia (Guarnaccia) Bonanno. Millie was the loving wife of Phillip Russo and the late Ralph Wilkes. She was the devoted mother of Joseph Wilkes and his wife Donna of Manchester, NH, John M. Wilkes and his wife Susan of Melrose and Rev. James R. Wilkes and his wife Mary of Brockton. She was the step-mother of Valerie Hall of Andover, Madeleine McCarty and her husband Bill of Gilford, NH and Dolores Young of Renton, WA. Millie was the sister of Joseph Bonanno and his wife Ann of Wakefield.She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Grandmother of the late baby James Wilkes. Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Saturday, May 28 at 8 AM. FuneralMass in St. Mary's Church (corner of Myrtle & Herbert St.) Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8PM. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA. Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose, MA.
