Mrs. Jenks was bornDecember 20, 1938 in Cambridge, MA, daughter of the late Lillian Caroline (Bucci) Barker and Ernest Barker.
Carol grew up in Wakefield, graduating from Wakefield High School and Northeastern University. Carol attended Boston University and received her nursing degree from Leominster Hospital School of Nursing.For ten years she was a registered nurse at the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick.Carol was also a nurse at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, the Somerville Hospital and Lynn Union Hospital, Lynn and the Malden Hospital in Malden. She was also a Vice President for 10 years of Sacks & Company in Wakefield.
Carol was the mother of Kevin R. Jenks of Verona, NJ, Corey D. Jenks and his wife, Carla of Wilmington and the late Karen L. Jenks.Carol was the former wife of Russell C. Jenks of Stoneham.
Funeral service at the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church, 355 Franklin St., Melrose, Tuesday, April 13 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Monday 4-8PM.Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA.
