Catherine J. (Wilson) Mattera

Catherine J. (Wilson) Mattera, resident of Nashua, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 21, 2022.  She was 61.

Catherine was born in Melrose on April 2, 1961, one of three children of the late Frank and Evelyn (Atkins) Wilson.  She grew up in Melrose, graduating from Melrose High School in 1979.

Social and loving, Catherine always made sure to put family and friends first.  She was the first to call you on your birthday and had to sing the entire Happy Birthday song to you for it to count.  She would give you her last dollar and the shirt off her back if you were truly in need.

Catherine dearly loved her son Nick and time spent with all her family.  She also enjoyed doing puzzles, watching movies, crocheting, and spending time with the ladies at her apartment complex.

Catherine will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Catherine was the devoted mother of Nicholas Mattera of Saugus.   Loving sister of Caren Blasi and her husband Paul of Saugus, and Cheryl Grandi and her husband Duane of Nashua.  She is also survive by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends will gather in honor of Catherine's life at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, for a visiting hour on Thursday, October 27 from 10-11am and for her Funeral Service celebrated at 11am.
