Mrs. Hackendorf was a graduate of West Hampton College at the University of Richmond, Richmond, VA. In 1935 she married Arthur and they moved to Melrose in 1943.She worked for 8 years as a Seed Analyst for the State of Virginia Department of Agriculture.She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Melrose and the League of Women Voters. Cecyle was the wife of the late Arthur C. Hackendorf.Mother of James G. of York, ME,Emily C. DeFranzo of Malden and the late Martin R. Hackendorf.She was the sister ofAlice Alrich of Spottsylvania, VA, Edna Young of Richmond, VA. and the late Floy Bottoms, Frank Loving and Harnish Loving.Mrs. Hackendorf was also survived by 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service at the First Baptist Church, (corner of Main and Upham St.) MelroseMonday September 13 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose Sunday 2-6 PM.
Gifts in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, MA.
