Charles was born February 23, 1926 in Arlington, a son of the late Wilbur Rice and Lillian (Sullivan) Rice.
Mr. Rice graduated from Medford High Vocational School.He worked for many years as a self-employed Plumbing and Heating Technician.He was proudly elected to serve as the 1st Code Officer for the town of Tuftonboro, NH.Charles was a member of the American Legion Post #18 in Wolfeboro, NH and an enthusiastic member of the Mount Washington Observatory in N. Conway, NH.He enjoyed wood carving, oil painting, building doll houses, and especially loved hunting.
Charles was the beloved husband of Constance J. "Connie" (Wilson) Rice.Loving father of Susan Butler and her husband John of Teaticket, Sandra LaPerche and her husband Lee of Stoneham, and Sharlene VanRooy and her husband Frank of Hollister, CA.Brother of the late John Rice.Cherished grandfather of John, Shennon, Lesley, Alison and Amanda.Loving great-grandfather of Ruby, Jenna and Michaela.Cousin of Russell Carter of N. Reading.
