Mrs. Courtney Camille (Kelley) Wetzel, age 41, of Northborough and formerly of North Reading, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at home surrounded with the love and adoration of her family.
Courtney was born in Melrose on October 10, 1970.She was raised in Melrose and graduated from Pope John High School, Class of 1988.She received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Salem State College in 1992 and her Master's Degree from Lesley University in 2009.Courtney was a devoted teacher at Meritor Academy in Middleton and the Annie L. Sargent Elementary School in N. Andover.
Courtney loved traveling, especially with Todd and the kids to Aruba and the Turks and Caicos.She loved listening to music, spending time on the beaches of Cape Cod, and found great joy with her interactions with children and her several dearest friends whom she held close to heart.
She was the beloved wife of Todd H. Wetzel with whom she married and found complete happiness on September 18th 2009.She was the loving mother of Maxwell O. Grafton and Emma Joy Wetzel, both of Northborough, and loving stepmother of Robert F. Wetzel, Todd H. Wetzel, Jr., John E. Wetzel, and Katherine L. Wetzel, all of Osterville.Cherished daughter the late Charles O. Kelley and Catherine E. Kelley of Middleton and her longtime companion the late Pat "Butchie" Corvino, daughter-in-law of Joy Hall and her husband Ralph of Holden, and stepdaughter of Rosemary Kelley of Wakefield.Loving sister of Edward P. Kelley and his wife Gina of Boxford, Karen Kelley Barnes and her husband Robert of Ipswich and sister-in-law of Mark Wetzel and his wife Barbara of N. Gramby, CT, Laurie Yousefi and her husband Manny of Concord, and Gary Wetzel of Dallas, TX.Caring aunt of Charlie E. Kelley, Andrew P. Kelley, Daniel A. Kelley, Zachary C. Barnes, Anna E. Barnes, and Owen R. Barnes.Former wife of Timothy Grafton of Andover.Courtney is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Courtney's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, March 27 from 4-8 PM and for a Funeral Service celebrated in her honor at the First Unitarian Church of Worcester, 90 Main St., Worcester on Wednesday, March 28 at 11:00 AM.Interment in Rural Cemetery, Worcester will be held privately.
