Cynthia Foote was born on September 17, 1938 in East Boston, one of four children of the late Robert Foote and Isabelle (Nolan) Foote.She was raised and educated in Medford.
In 1958, Cynthia became a member of the Mount St. Mary's Abbey Trappistine Nuns in Wrentham.After five and a half years she left the Abby and married her husband Daniel R. Hallissy in 1966.They moved to Melrose where they raised their son, Daniel J. Hallissy.In addition to her devotion to her family, she lived her faith throughout life.A daily communicant at Incarnation Church for many years, she had a strong and deep connection to her faith.
Cynthia was the devoted wife of Daniel R. Hallissy with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.Beloved mother of Daniel J. Hallissy of Melrose.Dear sister of Ethel Codaro and the late Beverly Robinson and Leonard Foote.Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will honor Cynthia's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday from 4-8 PM and again on Friday morning at 9 AM before leaving in procession to the Church of the Incarnation, 429 Upham St., Melrose where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
