Cyrus T. Cunningham
a life long resident of Wakefield, died Thursday morning January 27, 2005 in the Vernon Advent Christian Nursing Home in Vernon, VT.
Mr. Cunningham was born in Wakefield, May 2, 1912, son of the late Martin L. Cunningham and Jennie R. (Tyzzer) Cunningham.
Mr. Cunningham was a life long resident of Wakefield before moving to Vermonta few years ago. He was a graduate Wakefield High School and Northeastern University. Mr. Cunningham was an active fundraiser for the Lexington Christian High School in Lexington, MA and an officer and trustee of the Berkshire Christian College in Lenox, MA.He was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Melrose, MA and later a member of the First Parish Congregational Church in Wakefield.Mr. Cunningham was a Sales Engineer for over forty years at the Blanchard Machine Company in Cambridge.He was active in local politics in Wakefield, and wasan avid traveler who loved working outside in his yard. Cyrus was the husband of Pearl (White) Rowell - Cunningham and the late Doris (Crouse) Cunningham.Father of Lucia Wyeth of Boulder City, NV.,Philip M. Cunningham and his wife, Maureen of Tewksbury and Marvin L. Cunningham and his wife, Patricia of Windham, NH.He is also survived by 6 grandsons and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Monday January 31 at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM.Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
