Daniel J. Tab O'Leary
died at the Epoch Rehabilitation Center of Melrose, Saturday morning, November 22, 2003.He was born in Melrose January 23, 1924 and was a life long resident.He was the son of the late John F. O'Leary and Bessie (McGovern)O'Leary."Tab" was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, 1941 and during WWII he served in the Army. "Tab" for many years was a sheet metal worker for Sheet Metal Workers International Local #17. He was a member of the Harold O. Young VFW Post # 2394, Melrose and also the "Drill Team" at the Post.Daniel J. "Tab" was the beloved husband of the late Frances (McCarthy) O'Leary.Loving father of Timothy F. O'Leary and his wife Karen, KathleenR. Michaud and her husband Norman, Patricia Thorpe and her husband Kevin, Maureen B. Bidgood and her husband John, and Eileen F. O'Leary and her partner Des Andersonall of Melrose, Daniel P. O'Leary U.S.C.G. of Seattle, WA and Shawna M. Iacoviello and her husband Angelo of Wakefield.Devoted brother of Florence McLoughlin of Saugus.Also survived by 13 loving grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Tuesday November 25 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, (corner of Myrtle and Herbert St.) Melrose at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Monday 3-8 PM.
