Mr. Puffer was born October 13, 1918 in Malden, MA, son of the late Leon R. Puffer and Josephine (Meigs) Puffer.
Mr. Puffer attended the Medford Public Schools and also the New Hampton School in New Hampton, NH.He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 1940.He worked as a Laboratory Engineer for General Electric, retiring in 1979.He became a professional artist, known for his work in pen and ink.He was a member of the Rockport Art Association and also the North Shore Art Association.
Husband of the late Eleanor (Pierce) Puffer.Father of Robert P. Puffer of Bangkok, Ann C. Puffer of Juneau, AK and Father in Law of Rose Puffer of Islamabad.Grandfather of David A. Puffer of Boston.
