David F. Currier, a resident of Grandview, Tennessee, and formerly of Fincastle, VA and N. Reading, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at age 87.
David was born in Melrose on June 20, 1936, one of four children of the late Phineas P. Currier and Ellen M. (Virgin) Currier. He was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1954 and enlisted in the US Army. He proudly served his country from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1963 as Private First Class. He then earned a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University in 1974. David worked as a Sales Manager in electronics and semi-conductors for many years.
David was the beloved husband of 62 years of the late Kathleen M. (Torrice) Currier. Devoted father of Michelle M. Currier and her husband Edward Campbell of VA, Michael D. Currier his wife late Carol of Milford, NH, Monique M. Green and her husband Dale of Fincastle, VA. Cherished grandfather of Zachary Fry of Denver, CO. Dear brother of Pauline Stewart and the late Betty Davis, and the late Virginia Phillps.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather in David's honor during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Wednesday, March 20 from 9-11am, followed by his Funeral Service at 11am. Interment with military honors by the US Army at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Donations in memory of David can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO BOX 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
