Mr. David C. Cusato, a resident of Stoneham, and formerly of Wakefield, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 after a period of declining health at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.He was 69 years old.
David was born on November 13, 1940 in Wakefield, one of fourteen children of the late Ralph Cusato and Annie (Storti) Cusato.He was raised in Wakefield where he graduated from Wakefield High School.After graduation, he proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.He then worked on the Wakefield Police Department.For the past 26 years, Dave had worked in secure transportation for Loomis Inc. & Wells Fargo Armored.
He was the loving companion of 21 years to Shirley (Meuse) Levoy of Stoneham.Devoted father of David C. Cusato, Jr. and his wife Beth of Reading, Timothy Cusato and his wife Jennifer of Raymond, NH, and Cheryl Miller and her husband George of Amesbury.Dear brother of Robert of Melrose, Elizabeth Hawkins of OH, Edward of NY, Ronald of Peabody and the late John, Gloria Surette, Joseph, Ralph, Arthur, Donald, Sandy Gaddis, Geraldine Wood, and Richard.Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, Friday, May 28 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in honor and remembrance of Dave's life at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8 PM.
