David J. Martin
Dave was born January 31, 1934 in Arlington, a son of the late David J. Martin and Ethel A. (Stevens) Martin.
Dave was raised in Reading and worked for many years as a machinist in the electronics industry.He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church.Dave was also active with Scouting for over 20 years and loved hiking, fishing and camping.He was known for his great sense of humor and love for his family.He was especially fond of holidays when he spent time with his loving family.
Dave was the beloved husband of Marcia (Easson) Martin with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.Devoted father of Lois A. Martin of Melrose, David W. and his wife, Betsy of Londonderry, NH, Bill Martin of Melrose, and Susan E. Gilman and her husband, Chris, of Hudson, NH.Dear brother of Warren, Norman, Elinor Labo, Alan and the late Donald Martin.Cherished grandfather of Sydney A. Martin, Rachel Surette and John Surette.
