Delia M. Goss
Delia was born in Cambridge on March 1, 1955, daughter of the late James E. and Delia T. Powers. She was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville High School and received her GED from Medford High School. On April 7, 1972 she was married to Robert A. Goss. They settled in Melrose and started a family of three children.
Delia worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant for local medical facilities in Massachusetts and later in Maine. With unconditional kindness and compassion, she provided caring support to many patients over the years.
After calling Melrose home while raising a family, Delia and Bob moved to Shapleigh, Maine in 1988. Delia continued working as a CNA, while developing an interest in jewelry, gem stones, crochet, and her beloved pet Huskies, Lady and Ivan. Most recently, she instructed Bob to go to the airport for a new addition to the family, a young German Shephard named Cuddles. Delia loved animals and had a special place in her heart for all of her pets.
Delia will be great missed, but always lovingly remembered for her sense of humor, quiet demeanor, and love for the city of Cambridge! May she rest in peace.
Delia was the beloved wife of Robert A. Goss with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Loving mother of Robert A. Goss III of Kennebunk, ME, Kimberly J. Cannizarro of Alexandria, VA, and Michael P. Goss and his wife Christina of Glenview, VA. Caring grandmother of Becca, Megan, Jessica, Dale, Nicho, and Lily.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, June 14 from 9-11am, followed by her Funeral Service at 11am. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
