Dianne Elizabeth Pullo, a longtime resident of Stoneham, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Thursday evening, August 23, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.She was 68.
Dianne was born in Melrose on January 14, 1944, one of two children of the late Ralph Pullo, Jr. and Gladys V. (Gill) Pullo.She graduated from Melrose High School and Boston University.For 35 years, Dianne was a beloved "Phys-Ed" teacher at the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.
She leaves a legacy of will and determination to enjoy all the wonderful activities that nature can provide.During the summer, she could be found canoeing the Allagash River, rock climbing in the Leominster State Park, and boating and sailing on Lake Winnipesauke.For years, she conquered many outward-bound trips, coached field hockey at Lincoln-Sudbury, taught fencing, and played tennis.Even during the winter months, Dianne's enthusiasm led her all over New England for skiing, snowmobiling and snow shoeing adventures.Cherished by her family, she was also deeply loved by her two white German Shepherds.
Dianne was the beloved sister of Ralph Pullo, III and his wife Dotty of Stoneham.Loving aunt of Andrea L. Thomason and her husband Tim of Stoneham, and Kimberley A. Davidson and her husband Eric of N. Reading.Cherished great aunt of Caleb T. Thomason of Stoneham.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Dianne's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, August 28, from 5-7 PM and again for her Funeral Service celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM.Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
