Donald was born on January 27, 1936 in Melrose, MA, a son of the late George E. Goodridge and Marion (Stevens) Goodridge.
Donald was raised and educated in Melrose and graduated from Tufts University.He was an electrical engineer for Nashua Corporation, Uniroyal Corporation in Springfield and Pratt and Whitney in Connecticut.
Don was an active participant with the Power Squadron in NH and enjoyed his time playing golf in Ocala, Florida. He loved boating and the Red Sox, but more than anything else he was known for his natural and creative abilities as a craftsman, woodworker and mechanic.
Donald was the beloved husband of Mary (Delay) Goodridge. Loving father of Deborah DiMarzio and her fiancé Ronald Foley of Goffstown, NH and Steven G. Goodridge and his wife Lauren of Cary, NC.Cherished grandfather of Jessica DiMarzio and Nicholas DiMarzio both of Goffstown, NH, and Benjamin Goodridge, Eleanor Goodridge and David Goodridge all of Cary, NC. Dear Stepfather of Deborah Stone of Milford, NH, Robert Stone of Manchester, NH, Nancy Wibben of Swanzey, NH, Joanna Stone of Keene, NH, Cyndy Zombik of Bend, OR and Susan Stone of Scotts Valley, CA. Also survived by 10 step grandchildren.
A Funeral Service to honor and remember Donald's life will be held in the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, on Thursday June 2 at 11 atAM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Reading, MA.
