Mrs. Donna J. (Giannetti) Smith of East Boston died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Mrs. Smith was born May 19, 1944 in Boston, daughter of Olga (Goyette) Giannetti and the late Benedetto Giannetti. Mrs. Smith worked as a Sales Clerk in the Retail business for many years. Donna and her late husband, Carmen, had shared 28 years of marriage. She is survived by her mother, Olga (Goyette) Giannetti of Melrose; her 5 children, Michelle Cardillo and her husband Anthony of East Boston, Anthony Curran of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Michael Chargin of Raynham, Christina Cardillo of East Boston, James Smith of Maine and the late Christopher Curran; a brother, Leonard Giannetti of Melrose; two sisters, Lea Larocque of Malden and Maria McNamara of New Hampshire; 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 10 a.m. in the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Monday, 4-8PM.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
