Dorothy E. Himmelwright
Dorothy was born on January 23, 1916 in Lawrence, one of eight children of the late Henry Andrews and Lucy (Peddel) Andrews.She was raised in Malden where she graduated from Malden High School.Mrs. Himmelwright who was affectionately known as "Nana" to her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, loved ballroom dancing, trips to Foxwoods, and playing bingo.
She was the beloved wife of the late Myron K. Himmelwright and Carl G. Fransen.Devoted mother of Susan D. Dalton and her husband Thomas A. Dalton, Sr. of Melrose and Richard S. Himmelwright and his wife Sandra Himmelwright of Wilbraham.Dear sister of the late Lillian Mattson, Frank Andrews, Mildred Pine, Graham Andrews, Henry Andrews, Robert Andrews, and Helen Andrews.Cherished grandmother of Aimee Selenius, T. Andrew Dalton, Jr. and his wife Megan Dalton, Julie Beth Himmelwright, and Jeffrey Himmelwright.Loving great grandmother of Colleen, Jacob, Elijah and Sean.Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at the LifeCare Center of Stoneham, Assisted Living as well as Rehabilitation, for the wonderful care and comfort they provided.
RESCHEDULED Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3 from 4-7 PM.
