Dorothy was born on January 6, 1928 in Easthampton, one of two daughters to the late Herman Facto and Pamela (Cantin) Facto.
Mrs. Koestring was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School. She lived most of her married life in Melrose and Tewksbury and in her later years resided in DeLand, Florida.She loved sewing, needle point, crocheting and making outfits for her children.Mrs. Koestring was a dedicated wife and mother who enjoyed cooking big meals for her entire family.She also loved animals, playing cards, puzzles, and fishing.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late William R. Koestring with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.Loving mother of Dee A. Hillard and her husband Dennis of Sanford, FL, Janis L. Verbicky of Burlington, Lisa B. Chopelas and her husband Greg of Beverly, Nancy J. Park and her husband Sung of Chestnut Hill, and William E. Koestring and his wife Rayna of Lake Mary, FL.Dear sister of Rita Dowd of Burlington, VT.Cherished grandmother of Christy, Jason, Brandon, Ashley, Bill, Jacqueline, Lucy, Spencer, Billy and Jimmy.Cherished great grandmother of Kyle, Jacob, Mackenzie and Gavin.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Friday, April 3 at 10 AM .Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4 - 8 PM.Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
