E. Margaret Bashford

Mrs. Bashford wasborn in Arlington, daughter of the late William and Catherine(Anderson) Christie. She was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and Becker College in Worcester. Mrs. Bashford was a resident of Melrose for the past 51 years. She worked at Sears Department Store, Saugus for 17 years until her retirement. She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary Post #20 and St. Johns Episcopal Church Women's Guild, Saugus. Wife of William A. Bashford with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Mother of Susan Gooch and her husband Earl of Melrose and Nancy Benson and her husband Christopher of Woodstock,GA. Sister of William R. Christie of Shrewsbury. Grandmother of Kyle and Eric Gooch and Anthony Christian. Aunt of David and Donald Christie. Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose Wednesday Nov. 5, 2003 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Gifts in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain.
