Charlotte Pfizenmayer, resident of Melrose, and formerly of Hollywood, Florida, died peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018.She was 102.

Charlotte was born on May 31, 1916 in Queens New York, one of two children of the late Frederick W. and Edna (Wilson) Pfizenmayer.

Charlotte grew up in Woodhaven and Hollis, New York.She graduated from Hemstead High School in New York, and in 1937, she graduated from Beaver College, now Arcadia University in Glenside Pennsylvania.In 1949, Charlotte moved to Hollywood, Florida and lived there until she moved to Melrose in 2008 so she could be closer to family.

She gave many years of service to the Bank of Hollywood, now Bank of America, where she worked as the Head Teller.

Charlotte and her sister Norma traveled extensively through the years.

In her 102 years, Charlotte was witness to numerous advances and changes in the world, and she was able to share her stories of the "olden days" with her family and friends.She will be deeply missed.

Charlotte is the beloved sister of the late Norma Cefalo, loving aunt of Joseph T. Cefalo, Jr. his wife Kiki of Charlestown, Frederick W. Cefalo and his wife Jill of Melrose, Stephen R. Cefalo of Melrose, Gregory N. Cefalo, Eric J. Cefalo and Christopher C. Cefalo all of Gloucester, and Alexandra Lee Cefalo and her husband Eduardo of Heldsburg, CA.

Relatives & friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Charlotte's life on Wednesday, December 12, for her Graveside Service celebrated at 10:30am at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
