Earle E. Coke, 87 of Tewksbury and a former long time resident of Somerville died Thursday March 17, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
Earle was born in Somerville,November 12, 1917, son of the late James Coke and Lena (Earle) Coke. Earle was raised in Somerville, graduated from Somerville High School and the Massachusetts College of Practical Art.For over 47 years he was a Commercial Artist with Standard Duplicating Company in Andover.Earle for many years was a member and Chairman of the Licensing Commission in Somerville and he also served on the Somerville Board of Health, the Election Commission and the Somerville Council of Churches.He was a member, Treasurer and past Senior Warden at St. James Episcopal Church in Somerville.
Earle was the husband of JuneM. (Martin) Coke.Father of Gary B. Coke and his wife Emily of Peabody and Debora L. Verrocchio and her husbandDonald J. of Tewksbury.Grandfather of James Coke and his wife Linda, Jason Coke and Joshua Coke all of Peabody and Anthony D. Verrocchio of Tewksbury and Jeremy S. Verrocchio and his fianc?,Katie Witham of Derry, NH. Great Grandfather of James Coke III and Nicholas Coke both of Peabody.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Monday, March 21 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
