Edie was born on October 2, 1923 in Everett.Mrs. Brierley was raised and educated in Everett, a daughter of the late Philip Oberlander and Jessie (Womersley) Oberlander.
She worked as a secretary at Harvey Motors and Jordan Marsh as a sales clerk for many years.Edith or "Edie" as she was affectionately known was a member of the East Saugus Methodist Church and was an Avon Lady.
Edie was the beloved wife of the late Theodore N. Brierley, Sr. with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Judi A. Brierley of Raymond, NH and Theodore N. Brierley, Jr. and his wife Tina of Burlington.Dear sister of the late Edna Martinson, Millie Bosteels, Jane Currant, Jessie Winters, and Philip Oberlander.Cherished grandmother of Bryan Brierley of Augusta, ME and Theo Brierley of Burlington.Loving great-grandmother of Bryan Brierley, Jr. of Beverly.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, on Monday, January 4 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2-6 PM.Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
