Edna C. Duane of Stoneham, died Friday evening January 30, 2009 following a period of declining health. She was 93 years old.
Edna was born in Everett, November 8, 1915, a daughter of the late Charles D. Johnson and Alma Johnson.
Edna was raised in Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High School. She was an avid bowler and was for many years the manager at Miter Biter Frame Shop in Melrose.
Edna was the loving mother of James S. Halligan and his late wife Pat Forbes Halligan of Melrose. Sister of the late Ralph Johnson, Ted Johnson, John Johnson, Carl Johnson and Lillian Stenson. Cherished grandmother of Faith, Daniel, Kenneth, Gary, Ronald and Dana. Cherished great grandmother of Daniel, Jonathan, Fallon, Megan, Alexandra, Ryan and Devin. Also survived by 1 great great grandson.
