Mrs. Edna M. (Landry) Henry of Melrose, formerly of Malden died June 30, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a brief illness.She was born November 21, 1911 in New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Dominique and Exilda (Thibodeau) Landry. Edna enjoyed traveling, was an avid bingo player and loved arts and crafts. She was very active with the AARP and many senior citizen groups. Ednawas wife of the late Howard George Henry.Mother of Joan M. Short and her husband "Woody" of Merrimac, formerly of Malden and Richard B. Henry and his companion, Maureen Silke of Marblehead.Sister of Yvonne LeBlanc of Canada and predeceased by 7 brothers. Grandmother ofDianeSpinelliofBoxford,Kathy Spinelli of Jamaica Plain, Elaine Marquis and her husband Richard of Pembroke, NH, Jennifer McGrath of Merrimac, Karen Mawn and her husband Dana of Andover, Steven and Nicole Henry of CA and Suzanne Henry of CO and the late Janet Henry. Great grandmother ofJanelle and Kyle Barthelmes, Carly and Sean McGrath, Cameron Mawn and Olivia Henry. Special aunt of Jim Landry of St. John, NB, Canada and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. MELROSE Tuesday July 8th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose at10AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.VisitinghoursMonday 4-8PM.
