Mrs. Edna S. (Barratt) Olson, 97 of Melrose, died Friday January 16, 2004 at Wingate at Reading Nursing Home. Mrs. Olson was born in Boston, November 3, 1906, daughter of the late William and Edna M. (Russell) Barratt. Mrs. Olson was a resident of Melrose for over 40 years and was a long time member and deacon at the Faith Evangelical Church, Melrose. Edna was the wife of the late Fritz "Andy" Olson.Mother of Ruth G. Howell of Alfred, ME, Richard P. Malmberg of Duxbury, Robert A. Malmberg of Medway, Doris E. Siek of Rumney, NH, Joanne M. Bass of Palm Beach Gardens, FL,Andrea E. Morgan of Melrose and Carol A. Watts and Janet E. Broome, both of Reading.Sister of Anna Franklin of Bellows Falls, VT and the late William Barratt, Jr., Connie Maguire, Stella Patenode, Jean Boucher, Phyliss Donato, Charles Barratt and Edward Barratt.Also survived by 35 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE,Monday January 19, 2004 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Sunday 1-4 PM
Interment will be at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
