Edward E. Dickie, 91, of Melrose died Sunday morning November 5, at Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield.
Edward was born in Medford son of Morley B. Dickey and Evelena Sarah (Weir) Dickie. He was raised in Malden and was a 25 year resident of Melrose.
Mr. Dickie worked for Railway Express as a trailer driver for 30 years and was a navy veteran of WWII.
Edward was the beloved husband of the late Margaret M. "Peg" (Brickley) Dickie.Loving mother of Linda L. Blair of Plymouth, Christine C. Lawrence of Melrose, and Peter E. Dickie of Newton. Brother of Evelyn Banks of Malden, Alice Anderson of Lynnfield and the late Emerson Dickie, and Ernest Dickie. Dear friend of Thelma Moore of Wilmington. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street, Peabody, Thursday November 9 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
