Edward Lyons
Mr. Lyons was born on May 21, 1912 in Lynn, one of three children to the late Joseph Lyons and Mary (Finkelstein) Lyons.
He was raised in Lynn, graduated from Lynn Classical High School and attended Massachusetts School of Art.In 1941, he and David Levine, started the K Store on Main Street in Melrose which they operated for 30 years.Mr. Lyons was also a self-employed locksmith for many years.
Edward Lyons was the beloved husband of the late Doris (Kiperman) Lyons.Devoted father of Richard D. Lyons and his wife Myra of Melrose.Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey M. Lyons and his wife Kelly of Melrose, and Stephanie Bonomo and her husband Jonathan of Stoneham.Loving great-grandfather of Madeline and Samantha Lyons and Max Bonomo.Dear brother of the late Mildred Hoffman and Helen Singer.Private funeral services were held at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose, Gifts in memory of Ed may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. Interment was in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
