91, of Melrose, a retired truck mechanic for Hertz Auto died March 12, 2004 at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose.Edward was born in Clinton, MANovember 27, 1912, son of the late Peter and Frances (Ognewski) Sablock.
Mr. Sablock grew up in Clinton, was a truck mechanic for over 35 years with Hertz Auto before retiring in 1976 and served in the US Air Force during WWII.Ed was a 48 year resident of Melrose and a long time parishoner at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield.
Edward was the husband of 58 years to Winifred M. (Aubin) Sablock.Father of Peter E. Sablock and his wife Jeanette of York, ME, Janet M. Sullivan and her husband Martin of Taunton and John J. Sablock and his wife Robin of Stoneham.Brother of the late Francis, Alexander, William, Joseph and John Sablock.Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Tuesday March 16 at 9:30 AM.Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Main St. Wakefield at 10:30 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM.Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
