Eileen S. Smith
Eileen was born in Amsterdam, NY, October 27, 1923, daughter of the late Margaret Ann (McDonough) Sauter and Joseph A. Sauter. She was a resident of Melrose for the past 8 years. Eileen and her late husband Gene were previous residents of Pittsfield and Wellesley.
For many years, Eileen was a bridal consultant for Priscilla of Boston Bridal Shop on Newbury Street in Boston. Mrs. Smith loved traveling with her late husband and was a completely devoted mother to her three daughters.
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late O. Eugene "Po" Smith. Loving mother of Mary Eileen "Kitsy" Neubeck and her husband, Steve of Cincinnati, OH, Nancy Robinson and her husband, Jeff of Melrose and Patricia Hart of Nashua, NH. Grandmother of Michael S. Neubeck and his wife Melissa, Scott Robinson, Margaret M. Robinson, Mark S. Robinson, Thomas Eugene "Tug" Hart and Mary Kate Hart and the late Ann E. Neubeck.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. MELROSE, Tuesday, September 14 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 PM. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Harwich.
