Eleanor was born in Arlington, June 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Elmer Milliken and Nellie Marie (Hansen) Milliken.
Mrs. Austin was raised in Arlington and Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1946. She was a graduate of the Malden Hospital School of Nursing. Eleanor was a registered nurse in maternity at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 7 years;Malden Hospital for 25 years and the Winchester Hospital for 15 years.She served on the board of trustees at the Endicott College School of Nursing.
Eleanor was the beloved wife of Albert D. Austin with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.Loving mother of R. Todd Austin of Wakefield and the dear sister of Ralph Milliken of Redondo Beach, CA.
