Eleanor was born in Boston, July 22, 1923,a daughter of the lateErnest W. Lord and Marion (Fowler) Lord.
Eleanor was raised and educated in Chelsea. She was a long time member of the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church and a member of the Women's Guild. Eleanor volunteered many years in the Gift Shop at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital.Shewas a Bank Teller for the former Melrose Trust Company and Shawmut Bank and an account manager at Scully Signal Company.
Eleanor was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late James K. Edwards.Loving mother of James K. Edwards Jr. and his wife Donna E. of Dunbarton, NH, Linda L. Hallahan and her fianc? Arthur Prousalis of Wakefield and Gayle E. Charlton and her husband Jon of Saugus.Dear sister of Gardner Lord of Wakefield and the late Ernest W. Lord Jr. and Priscilla Kilroe.Cherished grandmother of Rachel Durst, Daniel Edwards, Betsy Hallahan, Scott Hallahan, Arthur Charlton and Christopher Charlton. Cherished great grandmother of Shauna, Priscilla, Ben and Grace. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
