a life long resident of Melrose, and a retired office manager for Endicott Trust in Boston died March 8, 2004 at the Melrose Care Center in Melrose.Eleanor was born in Melrose May 23, 1914, daughter of the late Harry B. Hurd and Lillian (Tufts) Hurd.
Eleanor grew up in Melrose, graduated from Simmons College, 1936 and was an office manager for the Endicott Trust Office in Boston for over 20 years and for 17 years she was also an office manager for an insurance company. Eleanor was the devoted friend to Bradford M. Endicott and Janice E. Sample. Cousin of Andrea Burns of Vermont.A graveside service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery, Sylvan St. Melrose, Saturday, March 13 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Arrangements by the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE.
