Mrs. Eleanor T. "Ellie" (Schwaibold) Jepson, a resident of Ipswich, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, at the age of 72.
Eleanor or "Ellie" as she was lovingly known was born on March 2, 1940 in West Orange, New Jersey, one of two daughters of the late Herbert and Ruth A. (Rowe) Schwaibold.She was raised in Melrose and graduated from Brookline High School.She attended Melrose-Wakefield Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years.She was employed at a Doctor's office in Wakefield, Mass General Hospital, and worked for EMARC for several years.
Ellie centered her life on family.She was a devoted wife to Warren, mother to Billy and Alex, and grandmother of 4 grandchildren. Always selfless, Ellie was the constant caretaker of her family.She also loved cats, and had many feral cats around the house.She will be remembered for her faithfulness and love for her family.
Ellie was the beloved wife of Warren C. Jepson with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.Devoted mother of William E.L. Hayden and his wife Ayako of Duvall, WA, and Alexander N. Jepson and his girlfriend Kelly Clark of Gloucester.Dear sister of Mary Ann Flaschbart of Marblehead.Cherished grandmother of Harrison K. Hayden, Jason C. Jepson, John B. Jepson, and Lily M. Jepson.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Ellie's life by gathering at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 135 Lafayette St., Marblehead for her Funeral Service celebrated on Saturday, December 29 at 11:00 AM.
