Elizabeth I. &Quot;Betty" Alley
Elizabeth or "Betty" as she affectionately known was raised and educated in Lowell.She graduated from Nursing School in New Hampshire and became a Registered Nurse at the Mackenzie Nursing Home in Melrose.A longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Betty was an active member and enjoyed Women's Fellowship.She will be remembered for loving her grandchildren, enjoying cooking, and for having a great appetite.
Betty was the beloved wife of the late Bertram L. Alley with whom she shared 36 years of marriage.Devoted mother of John B. Alley of Malden, William L. Alley and his wife Margie of Reading, Mary E. MacDonald and her husband Rob of Wakefield, and James R. Alley and his wife Deborah of Mundelein, IL.Dear sister of the late Dorothy Rostron.Cherished grandmother of Nathaniel Alley of N. Reading, Heather MacDonald of Wakefield, Julia MacDonald of Wakefield, Michael Gilman of Wilmington and the late Sonia Jaena.
Funeral Service at the First Baptist Church, 561 Main St., Melrose on Monday, March 29 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE on Sunday from 2-6 PM.Interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers.
