She was born in Winchester on March 24, 1930, daughter of the late John A. Hollett and Mabel (Parsons) Hollett.
Elizabeth, or "Betty" as she was affectionately known, was raised in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School.She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Greenwood Nursing Home and Malden Hospital for several years.
Betty was the beloved wife of Frank H. Banks with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.Devoted mother of David S. of Bourne, Kerry L. Banks and her husband Mark Nowlan of Brownsville, VT, and Steven P. and his wife Kimberly Gauthier of Moultonboro, NH.Dear sister of the late John A. Hollett, Jr.Cherished grandmother of Brian S. of Dedham, Eric P. of Bourne, Chloe C. of CA and T'ien A. Banks of Portland, OR.Great-grandmother of Brady Banks.
