Elizabeth G. "Libby" Seavey, 91,of Melrose, a retired secretary for the President of Provident Institution for Savings in Boston,died at Bear Hill Nursing Center, Wakefield on Monday January 26, 2004 after a brief illness.Libby, born in East Machias, Maine on June 9, 1912, was the daughter of the late Leslie A. Seavey and Florence G. Seavey.When she was 9 years old, she moved to Muskegon, MI with her family where her father accepted new employment. Libby graduated from Muskegon Teachers College, in Muskegon, MI. Libby began her career at the National Lumberman's Bank in Muskegon, MI and then spent 25 years at the Provident Institution for Savings in Boston.The Tremont Temple in Boston benefited greatly from Libby's knowledge and assistance.
Elizabeth G. "Libby" was the sister of the late Dorothy Seavey.She also spent many happy years with her long time friend, Jeannette Boyce, who died February 5, 2003."Libby" is survived by her very close friends, Rachel Frederick and family of Melrose.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Saturday January 31, 2004 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
